SSS (Super Second Saturdays) 2009, a block of the month quilt
I completed my quilt shop's BOM for 2008, so to join for free in 2009, all I had to do was bring the completed top with me to the quilt shop in January on the appropriate day, and I got the first month's block free! It will work just like last year in that I just have to bring the previous completed quilt block each new month to get that month's block free.
There were two colorways from which to choose, and I chose the chocolate and cream palette (the other choice was bright batiks).
These are some of the finishing kit blocks that I've put together. They will go in the border

I began piecing the blocks together while the snow was falling today (January 9, 2010). I didn't finish piecing the quilt top, but another day of piecing and I should have it done. Here the inner section is finished, and I've started piecing the star borders.

January 10, 2010 - Quilt top is completely pieced!

May 15, 2010 - Binding is attached, quilt is finished!
